New Year and New Phase
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank you for your greetings, prayers, encouragement and personal calls. Please continue to pray that we always remain Holy, Humble, Grateful and Content.
God has given us a new responsibility of being the Regional Director for few Asian countries for Community Bible Study International (CBSI). We would be grateful for your prayers as the task is great and we need His Wisdom, Anointing, Strength and Guidance. We are grateful to Rev. Devendra Rai and Koko Rai for mentoring and Frank & Marion for guiding us to minister with CBSI.
December 2012 was transition time. We had to make few changes for good. After nine plus years we moved our home and it was not easy task. Many things have been settled and some are being taken care of.
I have been involved in many things as there is a great need in India. God has helped me to mentor and train several leaders throughout the country. Some of them are taking over my previous ministry responsibilities. P. Jacob, Chennai takes over Glocal Leaders Network and would be involved in non-formal trainings – leadership, marriage, writers, parenting, …etc. Hudson Silas, Hyderabad takes over the research part and would be responsible for our newsletter: Global Urban Vision. The format and frequency would be decided by him. Rajasekaran, Trichy was able to go as my substitute to teach in Sri Lanka in November last year and would go to Thailand for presenting a paper on Buddhism. There are few others who also take similar responsibilities.
Writing was never a full time job. In India, serious Christian writers cannot survive by writing. I will continue to write as I had done before. This year, I should bring to closure my next book: Christ and Local Churches (pending for more than two years.) Articles/Papers would randomly appear in various magazines as inspired or as required by some leaders or editors.
Rosy and Thambos
Both are doing well. We participated in the Watch night service of Christian Assembly. Pastor Victor sermon was from the life of Abraham that was inspiring and challenging. Thambos college has begun after Christmas break. He had good ministries by Carol rounds, special Christmas event and visit to orphanages distributing Pizza. (Children were fed up with biryani and asked Thambos to give Pizza!!!) We had some friends who came as guests to stay with us and encourage us.
I will be training CBS leaders in Hyderabad, Pallavaram (Chennai), Kundrathur (Chennai). By the end of January both of us would be travelling to US for attending Teaching Directors conference and Global Servants Team meeting of CBSI and also visit few cities there.
I wondered Psalmist talks about table and enemies in the same stanza. “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:5,6) What was his meaning for the term – enemy? I will let you explore as I may be writing a whole article on that.
Yours in His Adventure,
